About Our Boards

All of the boards are handmade by Jean M. Levasseur, owner of NineRings WoodCraft in Littleton, MA.  Cutting and serving boards are made from maple or cherry, with walnut accents.  All cutting and serving boards are available in two general styles that you can choose from.

• Traditional: This style features dark walnut accent stripes on either side of the board, creating a symmetrical, balanced look.

• Modern: This style features a trio of walnut accents close together on one side of the board, creating an asymmetrical aesthetic.

Because they are hand made, each board is completely unique, and may have a slightly different design depending on wood availability. I design each board as its laid out on the clamps before gluing.

All of the boards are finished with at least one coat of mineral oil and one coat of a mineral oil/beeswax mixture, giving them lasting protection.
